It can play such an important part in our lives, both physically and mentally.
And the bi-products from starting new hobbies are pretty awesome.
Now in this day and age, we seem to be so busy all the time.
Life gets in the way.
Not to mention the million distractions we face on a daily basis.
So where the hell do we find time for a hobby?

And trust me, it’s so worth it!

Even if you feel like right now there’s nothing that you really feel like devoting your time to. Or that you feel tired form work and just want to lie on the couch all weekend.

A few years ago I went over to Thailand to learn Muay Thai and get fit.
It was the best thing I ever did, and have been going back ever since for a few months at a time. Whilst learning a martial art will help you in the fitness department, it has many other benefits too.
Mentally you become stronger. You learn to concentrate a lot more. And your self-confidence levels rise a lot!
2. Rock Climbing
If you live in or around an area with amazing mountains, then this hobby might be for you!
Not sure if you have seen the film Free Solo yet or not, but after watching that I don’t think I could ever stomach those sort of heights.
But rock climbing is definitely a hobby which will benefit your health.
I know a few guys who do it, and it becomes a complete obsession.
One of the most famous board games around, Chess is a game that requires strategy, planning and decision making.
It’s a fun game and you can continue improving your skills at it.
One can take a lot of parallels between chess and real life, which is why it is such a global sensation.
Chess boards can be picked up for super cheap, so it’s definitely a hobby I recommend!
4. Brew Your Own Beer
I remember as a kid my dad had a home brewing kit and used it a few times. It seemed really cool!
Now if you are a massive fan of beer and are interested in how to actually make your very own, then you could start brewing beer right at home.

I drink on average about 3 cups of good quality coffee every single day, and love travelling around tasting various blends of coffee.

You might think piano isn’t manly, but I got news for you. I’ve never heard any woman complain about a man who can play the piano well.

It’s a game where you can really track your progress, all while enjoying it with friends.
You can even use your golfing hobby to land business deals as many businessmen tend to spend a lot of time out on the golf course.

A few years ago I started playing online poker, and tried to take it as seriously as possible.
I soon realized that there is a lot of skill and maths involved! I started studying up, and really enjoyed the challenge.

Definitely a super relaxing hobby, and one where you get to use your imagination a lot.

I tried my hand at stock trading whilst at university, and it is harder than it looks. But it is loads of fun and there is so much to learn!

The hardest part is getting started. But you need to begin somewhere! Eventually you’ll love the burn!

I wish I could make wine. Maybe one day.
But if you are a wine lover and want to take things to the next level, then you could start making your very own wine.
At school we had to do woodwork for a few years, and it was awesome.

My parents started doing this a few years ago, and it turned out to be really legit!
You can study about it all by yourself online. And within a few weeks you too can have your very own feta or brie cheese!

Smoking meat is a skill in itself, and requires time, effort and a smoker. But if you are passionate about meat and all the different ways to prepare it, then you should definitely try out smoking.
