- Things To Know Before Shaving Your Head – Balding As A Man
There are millions of bald men out there, and millions more will follow!
One thing which no one ever mentions when you decide to start shaving your head is that you need to take extra care of your newly bald head.
Think about how exposed your head is to the natural elements.
The sun, all the free radicals and dirt which roam the air, and just everything else which could make your head dirty.
These all need to be taken care of, so it is important to care for your bald head as well as possible.
Tips On How To Care For A Bald Head Every Bald Guy Needs To Know
Below are the top 4 ways in which every single bald guy must take care of his head!
1. Wash Your Head
Don’t forget to wash your head every so often.
Even though you do not have hair anymore, your scalp still gets dirty. And on top of that, dandruff can still build up.
Thankfully washing just your scalp takes a lot faster than washing a full head of hair. And you only require a really small amount of soap!
I have tried and tested a lot of different shampoos and soaps, and have found that natural ones work best on my scalp.
Just find somethiing which won’t react badly with your skin, and you are good to go!
2. Exfoliate The Dead Skin
There’s no better feeling than having a super smooth, freshly shaved scalp!
Over time, dead skin and other junk starts to build up on your scalp.
So it helps to remove this by using a decent scalp and face scrub!
Not only will it make your face and scalp feel better and smoother, it also helps with shaving!
3. SPF Even On Cloudy Days
There are few things worse in life than having a totally sunburn scalp.
Trust me when I say this – it sucks.
So make sure to throw on some SPF whenever you go outside, even if it’s cloudy.
Your head is exposed to sunlight more than any other part of your body, and it is super sensitive.
Any good sunscreen brand will do. As long as it does the job of protecting your skin from the sun!
4. Moisturize Like A Boss
This is definitely the most important part of taking care of a bald head, and our favorite part.
Just like your face, your scalp needs a high quality moisturizer to keep it healthy!
We know this, and so spent sometime creating our very own scalp and face moisturizer.

FAQs About Going & Being Bald
Below are some of the most common questions we get asked about going bald.
Make sure to check out our full list of FAQs about baldness too!
Why do men go bald?
There are a few reasons as to why any guy can go bald.
But the most common one is almost always down to genetics!
We have heard some people say how using too much shampoo or other hair products can increase your hair loss, but this isn’t really the truth nor has it been proven.
Is there a way to know that you’ll go bald?
There are a few early signs that all lead to knowing that one day you will be bald.
Although baldness is hereditary, it doesn’t always mean you’ll be bald if your dad is bald. I know a few guys with a good head of hair who have bald dads.
Normally, if you have the classic “M” hairline, then that usually starts to recede. Otherwise, when you get into your late teens or early 20s, you will definitely start to notice some thinning hair.
If that’s the case, then you are usually heading for baldness.
Hair loss, once started, usually ever stops.
Is it better to shave it all off rather than keep your last few hairs?
There’s nothing worse than when you try and hold onto those last few strands of hair.
The one thing that happens when you embrace your baldness is you become completely liberated.
No more hair loss stress for you, as you do not have anymore hair.
At what age do men start balding?
It differs from guy to guy, but you usually start to notice it around your late teens or early 20s.
Approximately 25% of males will start experiencing baldness by the age of 21, and by the age of 35, two thirds all of males will have some sort of hair loss issue.
So if you are another guy dealing with hair loss, remember there are millions of others out there dealing with the exact same thing.
How will I know what I will look when I go bald?
Simple answer is this – you won’t know what you will look like!
But what I know for certain is this – you will look better with a shaved head than with a thinning head of hair.
Knowing how to care for a shaved head is an important daily part of rocking the bald look.
It’s our pride and joy, and we are really thrilled to be able to offer it to all of you bald legends.
