Morning workouts are probably the most beneficial and practical exercise routines for most of us men. That’s why I have put together some of my favorite morning workouts that you can smash out before getting started with your day.

Best Morning Workouts For Men

Mornings are the most important part of our day.

If we treat them the right way, we can easily set ourselves up for a successful and productive day.

I don’t know about you, but I find that working out in the mornings before ever leaving the house is the best thing to do.

It allows me to get it out the way.

It makes me feel great.

And I also don’t need to try and squeeze in a workout later on in the day.

There are so many benefits that come from doing early morning workouts. These include:

  • More energy throughout the day
  • More alert and productive
  • The feeling of accomplishment. You start the day already ticking off the hardest thing on your to-do list
  • One step closer to reaching your fitness goals

Below I have put together 3 morning workouts that I constantly do.

It’s been a while since I have actually had an active gym membership.

I just never really feel the need to go to one, as I can get in just as good a workout from home or in a public park / workout area.

And when you start only focussing on bodyweight fitness, you really need to start becoming creative with your workouts.

A few simple push ups and squats will eventually become a bit boring, so you need to change it up!

Over the months and years I have made up a few really good, quick routines that get my heart rate going and my muscles working.

3 Quick Morning Workouts

Below I have put together my 3 favorite bodyweight workouts that you can do right at home.

They won’t take too long, yet they are extremely effective!

Many guys think you need to spend an hour in a gym to have a decent workout, but that isn’t necessarily true.

By doing an intense, short-bursted workout, you can get your heart rate up and work on numerous muscle groups.

Quick tip: One thing I have started doing lately (and love it) is that in between sets, instead of resting completely, I’ll rather run lightly on the spot. This way I am constantly moving throughout an entire workout. Try it!

Workout #1

This workout I call The Pyramid workout.

  1. 50 Jumping jacks
  2. 40 Body squats
  3. 30 Push ups
  4. 20 Mountain climbers
  5. 10 Burpees

Repeat the above set another two more times, so you do three sets in total.

For those of you who don’t know what mountain climbers are, they are basically where you hold a push up position, and then bring one leg forward. You then alternate to the other leg. Check this video for full instructions.

I really enjoy this workout as it’s simple, quick and super effective.

Do all 5 exercises without a rest, take a minute rest, then get going with your second set.

It literally shouldn’t take more than 10 or 15 minutes, so it’s perfect for busy men.

Workout #2

  1. 25 Push ups
  2. 10 Body squats
  3. 60 Second body plank
  4. 50 high knees

Repeat the above set another three more times, so you do four sets in total.

Things such as jumping jacks, high knees, running on the spot etc are great to incorporate into your workout. The reason being it gets the heart rate up, and also gets the blood moving.

Workout #3

Alright, this one is a killer.

I STILL struggle to get through this, but dam it’s a good one.

  1. 40 Burpees
  2. 40 Push ups
  3. 40 Body squats
  4. Rest
  5. 30 Burpees
  6. 30 Push ups
  7. 30 Body squats
  8. Rest
  9. 20 Burpees
  10. 20 Push ups
  11. 20 Body squats
  12. Rest
  13. 10 Burpees
  14. 10 Push ups
  15. 10 Body squats

If you are feeling brave, you can start off your sets with 50 reps of each and work your way down to 10.

Or if you feel it’s all a bit hectic, then start off at 30 reps of each.

Either way, it’s a real burner this one!

Conclusion

Morning workouts don’t have to include jumping in your car, finding a parking space, going to the gym, coming home etc.

You can literally get your day started off with a quick and effective workout, all at home.

If it’s sunny outside then do it in your garden, your driveway or the local park.

Otherwise get your workout done inside your home.

There really are no excuses to being able to get and stay fit.

The common excuses of “I have no time” or “I have no money” really have no place for us!

Cheers,
Richard
